About Me
I grew-up in Tuolumne County, having graduated from Twain Harte Elementary and Summerville High. After high school, I attended CSU, Sacramento and left with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration. Upon graduating college, I decided to travel and upon moving back ‘home’ met the man of my dreams and got married. It was only months later that I decided to go back to school and have since received my Multiple Subject Credential through Chapman University. Over the last ten years, my experience in working with youth spans over a variety of settings, ages, and socioeconomic groups.
As a teacher with Gold Rush Charter, I will focus on creating quality learning experiences that foster healthy social, physical, and mental development for the students in my classroom. It is my desire that students receive a meaningful, engaging and inspiring education that aids them in being not only successful, but also resourceful throughout their lives. I believe this can be accomplished through the use of an integrated curriculum, cooperative learning, hands-on activities and when possible, technology.
When I’m not in the classroom I can be found camping, hiking, boating, relaxing with a good book, traveling with my husband, or spending time with my extended family.
