About Me

Over the past two years I have worked with elementary, junior high, and high school students. I also teach Spanish and photography classes at Gold Rush. I like the opportunity that independent study offers me to work with students in small groups and on an individual basis.

I decided I wanted to become a teacher when I was in high school. Originally, I decided to go into secondary education, but I enjoyed all the years I volunteered in my children's classes so much I decided to get a multiple subject credential a few years back. I spent most of my adult years as a full time mother to my four children. My husband and I enjoyed raising our children in Sonora and we both have volunteered in the community for many years. The youth in our county are wonderful and I feel blessed to be able get to know so many of them.
