Guitar/Bass Lessons
Danielle has been teaching guitar and bass for 20 years. She has played guitar, bass, or drums in over 20 working bands or groups, as well as worked as a solo artist. She enjoys teaching adults as well as children and recognizes that they have different needs.
Beginning guitar students will learn the basics, including tuning, playing position, musical symbols, notes in first position, chords, rhythms through eighth notes, strumming, picking, riffs, songs, theory, examples, and more.
Intermediate guitar students will learn chords, power chords, fingerpicking, syncopations, dotted rhythms, triplets, solos, bass runs, pentatonic scale, improvising, tablature, songs, riffs, notes in second position, and more.
Advanced guitar students will learn major, minor, pentatonic, and chromatic scales, sixteenth notes, barre chords, drop D tuning, movable scales, notes up to fifth position, slides, hammer-ons, pull-offs, string bends, chord construction, gear, riffs, theory, songs, techniques and more.
Beginning bass guitar students will learn notes on first five frets, common bass lines, patterns and rhythms, rhythms through eighth notes, playing tips, techniques, and riffs and examples, and more.
Intermediate bass students will learn the box shape, moveable boxes, notes in fifth position, major scales, examples, classic blues, shuffle rhythm, tablature, songs and more.
Advanced bass students will learn songs, riffs, examples, sixteenth notes, playing off chord symbols, slap and pop techniques, hammer ons, pull offs and other techniques, different playing styles and grooves, scale theory, songs and much more.
